Masterkush (Lemon Pheno) vs OG Kush

Hi! I've been growing this "Masterkush" clone for a yr now and it has a pronounce lemon pledge and fruity pebbles flavor. When grown side by side with my OG clone the master out-flavors it by far! I remember OG being small rock hard triangular popcorn nuggets with balls or clumps of calyxes selling for $80 an eigth a number of yrs ago, but I haven't been able to find that clone/pheno whatever. I got both of these at an established medical pharmacy in west los angeles.

Wondering if what i got is not the real deal (like LA confidential), or what. Yeild is small as you would expect but no popcorn neggets shaped like rosettes. Furthermore Lemon/froot loop smell is not nearly as pronounced as my masterkush.

I am also Curios as to whether I have the Dutch Passion Masterkush, cuz it's not real earthy, skunky, cheesy or mediciny affie taste at all.

Or if what I got is some OG Kush relative renamed 'master kush' to increase appeal.

so many people have crossed og with other strains, that its real hard to find the real og nowadays. and even if you do, chances are it won't be as tight budded as it should be because it wasn't fed well / right. from what i know, og requires more nutrients than most strains, which made it more expensive in the first place.

Ahhh. I was very conservative on the nutes when i grew my og. After I harvest my master in a couple weeks (pics of course) I plan on a full OG grow. Then a full Mazar grow. I dont have nearly enough experience with these two strains as i do with Master Kush and others. I'll definitely up the nutes to around 1200ppm, as last time it was around 800ppm cuz I prefer to err on the side of caution and quality flavor and smell is what i go for over raw weight. But now that i know shes a heavy feeder, she'll be getting some good doses of foxfarm!!

KindGreen, what ppm do you grow your OG at? Is it in soil like mine or hydro? Organic (like mine) or non, or both? thnx

These are 4 Masterkush 5 weeks in flower, each one topped a different way to see what maximizes yeild with this strain. I have found nature's way is second best to topping/bending into a 3 headed cola tech.

               

Those are just the masters. I have 3 skunk #1's from the 1970's gifted to me by a friend in Topanga canyon, Southern Cali. And one tiny blueberry

unfortunately, i'm not an experienced grower ;( my best was 3 plants on my balcony one year, although it turned out way better than i expected. i grew one afghani kush plant, one ak-47, and one ice plant. all from seeds. surprisingly, they all turned out picture perfect.. well, maybe i could've let them flower another week or so hehe

by the way, the ice plant had the shape of the palm tree.. pretty much one fat baseball size cola in the middle lol i was afraid it would get moldy cuz it was so thick

I've been growing on and off since I was 13, yes 13. It was around the time Dr. Dre came out with "The Chronic" album, (even tho Im a metal fan).

I was an immature bastard and me and my friend ripped two 2 foot tall plants that were both female from a "friend" (who was 22 yrs old btw and dating one of my classmates; she was 13 and he was 21). Anyway we stuck it in the canyon by my house and grew some very large but hrash smoking indica buds, and its been a love affair ever since.

All throughout highschool I grew guerilla style experimenting with columbian, thai, and any indica bagseed I could get my hands on every summer. Some yrs one or two plots would get ripped (karma). Stopped growing in '98 when I went to college. Been collecting seed for a couple yrs and started up again, this time indoor. Always soil, always organic.

You chose some great strains there KGB. Afgan is one of my old school favs. AK indica cherry pheno is top 10 on my list. Been curious about the ICE. It's by Nirvanna right? Can u give a smoke report on the ICE?

Bro, there's nothing like growin' yer own. The high is superior and even tastes better than what u get at the clinic even if the bag appeal isnt the same as chemmy hydro. Some hydro-ers can do it right but the mass growers for profit usually care about what gets top $ and that bag appeal unfortunately.

i agree! watching the plant grow and change is amazing

from what i remember, ice smoked pretty heavy. both head and body effect, kinda like white widow (for me). very good for complete relaxation / sleep. extremely sticky and very strong on both indica and sativa side.

Ahh, I must try this strain. ICE will be on the menu with full grow report, pics etc right after the master, then supposed "OG", then Mazar, then ICE!
