Dr Kenneth Wresch has been the victim of an identity theft scam, in which a phony clinic is issuing forged MMJ recommendations under his name.
Please note that Dr. Wresch's actual office # is 866-420-7215. All recommendations from Dr Wresch should be validated through this number. - D. Gieringer, Cal NORML I wanted to make it clear to everyone that it was my office that alerted the police and David Goldstein from channel 2, that the Absolute Organic clinic in the garment district was selling fake letters of recommendations using my signature. As the story noted, my signature and identity are being used unlawfully. In no way, shape or form am I affiliated with this illegal operation. Absolute Organics has copied and pasted my signature on a form that they created without my knowledge or permission. They are impersonating doctors and stealing their identities. We reported this to law enforcement on Jan 22nd and David Goldstein on Feb 10th, well in advance of this story breaking. It is still unclear to me why Mr. Goldstein would secretly follow me from my office and then surprise me in a parking lot while doing my shopping. Why not just call and set up an appointment with me? My office was in constant contact with David Goldstein (channel 2 reporter) while he was putting this story together. Goldstein fails to mention that he was aware that this was reported to the police by my office on Jan 22nd. Perhaps he was intending on shading a negative light on medical marijuana in general. A part of his story could have been about a tip he received from a doctor's office, (my office) that reported that illegal activity was taking place. He could have used this opportunity to show that legitimate doctors do care about the image that medical marijuana has. The news story could have been used to better educate the legitimate medical marijuana patients. Patients should be aware that medical marijuana evaluations are to be conducted by a CA licensed MD (medical doctor) or DO (doctor of osteopathy) only. Physician Assistants (PA's), medical assistants, chiropractors, dentist, podiatrist, physiologist or anyone else that's not a licensed MD or DO cannot evaluate patients for medical marijuana, legally. Patients should also be aware that it is illegal for a doctor to tell you where to obtain, or to sell you marijuana. If you are at a medical marijuana office and do not see a physician, you can bet that it's illegal. Don't be fooled by cheap, fast evaluations, that don't require medical records or for you to see a doctor. Do your research, look up the medical license numbers of your doctor on-line, ask to see proof from your doctor. These scammers make legitimate patients look bad and they need to be stopped. Sincerely, Dr. Wresch Marijuana Strain Library Marijuana Seeds for Sale |
