At almost 52 yrs. of age, I never thought I would see the day when my beloved MARIJUANA would become such a controversial, profitable, confusing, EXPENSIVE, and powerful plant. In my day, weed was $10.00 for a sandwich baggie half-filled with mostly Mexican. Every now and again, something "special" would hit town like, Colombian, Panama Red (it really did make your fingers red!), and good ol Sinsemilla. The thought of spending $25.00 an OZ. was hard to fathom but, it was done. I later learned that the price would jump higher the further North you went. 1 oz. of Sinse would be around $100.00! When someone scored for you it was "proper" too give them a nice little stash for their trouble. It was passed around even to those you did not like much but were at the party or circle you were smoking in. Ahhh, the good ol daze! Today is so different! Hundreds of strains, potencies, hybrids, and cost. Unbelieveable! I bought an 8th for $70.00! BUT! ONE hit and POW! Incredibly powerful! I really don't know what to make of this. Any other old timers care to comment?

i dont think i qualify to be an old timer just yet, but i do remember when things were very very different for me, first it was shwag weed, bought for $40 an ounce, then "chronic" came around (even though we didnt know it was an actual strain, we just thought chronic meant really good weed ). i also remember blueberry and lemon buds coming around every once in a while, which was a real holiday.. then kush strains came in and kind of took over, being super potent, but also very pricey. those are my good ole daze
