When we asked Nirvana whether B-52 was named for bombs, bands, or buds, they said yes! Whether you think of fast, reliable aircraft with a huge payload - or a brainy, upbeat dance band - the name still fits. B-52 is a truly superior skunk hybrid that produces consistently well and rewards the grower with a very sweet taste and a cerebral high enjoyed by connosseurs of the skunk family strains. The maternal side of its family tree hails from Big Bud, among the oldest of the commercial strains. True to its name, Big Bud is a classic producer with little foliage to prune, plus a sweet spicy flavor and an indica-dominant body stone. Nirvana's Big Bud has been bred and selected with a priority on maximizing yields, so much so that Big Buds usually need to be staked and tied because of the heavey bud load on their branches. B-52's daddy is a Skunk Special, developed with skunk enthusiasts in mind through an intense refinement of Skunk #1. The aromatic Skunk Special fills the room with sativa pungency. With an equal presence of indica and sativa, B-52 delivers the productivity of Big Bud with the dense aromas and flavorful, mellow high of the skunks. This plant is best for a gardener with a few crops under his or her belt. It is especially recommended for the hydro enthusiast, since B-52 gives its best yields in a hydro sea of green. Growing 16 plants per square meter and pruning the plants down to the top and four side branches achieves massive bottle-sized buds. B-52 is durable and can take an EC of up to 2.6 without showing signs of overfeeding. Grown in these optimal conditions, B-52 roughly doubles in height during the flowering period and can consistently tip the scale with yields around 500 grams per square meter. While considered an indoor plant, this strain can be grown outdoors in Spain or similar climates, yielding a mature crop in the beginning of October. Skunk lovers, especially those who like hydro, will be rewarded with good yields and sweet skunky buds. This is good high for daydreaming, or for dancing to cheerful pop music.
