The guys at All Star Genetics have been around the Amsterdam cannabis scene since the early 90s, and are always working on new strains to offer to the world. Kaligria is a cross between Kali Mist male and a clone from an Alegria female. Alegria is well known in Holland for its fabulous taste and smell, and Kali Mist is one of the most talked about sativa strains today, famous for its fluffy nugs as much as its heavy yields.

Kaligria has a 50% sativa influence, which shows itself in the plant’s stature; it will grow to 5 or 6 feet, or even beyond, if given the extra root space. As such, it can be a difficult plant to grow indoors but will flourish outdoors if the conditions are right, and it is subjected to a moderate climate like that of Northern Europe. The yield is impressive, even more so if grown outside, and the Kali Mist genetics give this plant long colas that can give a harvest of up to 60 grams per square foot. As it matures, the buds will turn light purple with very oily, pink hairs, letting you know around the 9 week mark that it’s time to bring in the buds.

Though the buds may have a Skunky smell growing, the cured Kaligria buds give a deliciously sweet smoke that has quite rightly become a favorite of many Dutch tokers. The high is definitely one that you can feel up top, leaving you energized and satisfied at the same time.
