White Widow Marijuana Strain

White Widow

Greenhouse Seed Company

Sativa 60 / Indica 40
Origins: Indian x Brazilian
Flowering: 56-70 IN / 70-84 OUT
Harvest: late October

Since its introduction in 1995, White Widow has become an infamous breed in the world of weed. This variety can be found in almost every coffeeshop in Amsterdam, but while imitation may be the truest form of flattery, the genuine item bears the Greenhouse name.

This variety’s reputation has been built on its excellence in smell, flavor, and quality of high. White Widow has fragrantly fresh pine cone nugs that have a taste bordering between fruit and flowers when smoked. Setting the standard for kind bud, White Widow washes over you with a warm feeling of mildly trippy sensations.

White Widow hybrid marijuana strain is a compact plant of medium height. The buds only develop a few amber-colored hairs, but the outrageous crystalline resin production of this plant has become legendary. Inevitably the reputation that precedes it leads some growers to decide that it is overrated, but many find this variety to be everything they anticipated and more. White Widow has the potential to live up to its reputation if grown adeptly. This strain is recommended for indoor gardening, where water and fertilizer should be administered modestly to avoid mildew and retain the delicious flavors. Greenhouse suggests changing the lighting to 8 hours during the last 2 weeks of flowering in order to halt regrowth of on the buds and produce just enough stress to coax out the maximum amount of sticky resin per inch.

1st Place, High Times Cannabis Cup bio category 1995.

I’m on the 86th day of w.w. flower with not a single amber trichome my buds are large, dense, hard, and covered in layers of thick trichomes and I always wait until they are 25%-30% amber before I harvest( but never this long,86 days) any suggestions or advice would be great, thank you.

I tried this strain out a few months back or so. I got a batch of it that was extra dank and insanely covered in trichs. My friend and I would go to our personal smoke spot to get really baked when we got some good shit. We packed up a glass pipe and took one hit. Next thing you know we are almost a hour into our conversation before even starting our smoke session. It is a highly potent strain that can be a bit overly strong when smoked in large enough amounts. It has a really trippy strong effect to it from its sativa side. Then it has a heavy ass kick from the Indica side that just lays your ass out. The smell is fucking amazing with a dank fruity flower type of smell. It is the highest I have been off weed so far in my experienced years of smoking. I packed up a bowl for three friends and continued passing the bowl around as I packed more on top without the bowl ending. We got to like 4 bowls and I had a very heavy bad trip type of high that you have to ride out. It was amazing even though I was tripping balls quite heavily.

Just put this in the ground 3 days ago and she should be sprouting within the next 12 hours. So excited to grow this strain. I have that and Special Kush #1 by Royal Queen. It’s an exclusive that they created in 2010.

Nice I’m glad it finally sprouted. Persistence definitely helped this situation out. In on the east coast too. Ct

I am growing WW outdoors, in soil, at 4800 ft elevation. It has been resistant to insects, and a fast grower. I have them in 15 gallon containers so I can move them inside during high winds. I have moved them in and out on a handcart since they were 6″ tall. They seem to have developed a high tolerance to “stress.” They are 5 weeks into the flowering stage, and the flowers are much larger than those of 2 other strains that were started at the same time.

10 plus years back there was a 20x15x4 volume supply WW outdoors went for 140 a z. It’s a great strain for outdoors. Can’t just drop and go, they need seasonal maintenance. Which is not bad. You could stick the buds to the walls they where so full of resin. I ve yet to come across but a few strains that did so well. This harvest was grown at elevation too. Very memorable outdoor strain, enjoy

quickly spray the seed head with water , this will soften the seed husk and allow the head to shuck the shell and emerge. repeat often as needed. as a last resort help it along with fingers and pry tools… oh so gently.it may be too late and wont shuck it as it is stunted. no nutes till it go’s, if it go’s. …. give it a couple of days , best of luck

  • terry208

I planted a white widow seed in soil after 7 days with out sprouting I removed some soil and found a 10th of an inch long stem with the seed husk still attached the stem is strongly rooted I gave it two good tugs and it didn’t move now 5 more days and there has been no growth the husk is still attached and still strongly rooted the stem is bright green what’s wrong thank you
